Sta piovendo. Ci sono ancora un po' di petali in giro. Inaspettatamente, Shion è ancora vivo e sta guardando l'esplosione dalla prima casa, stringendo un petalo in mano.
"Athena Exclamation. Shura, Camus, Saga, Aphrodite, Death Mask, Aldebaran, Shaka. No... not before I reach Athena... I can't just..."
Shion si incammina verso le case superiori. Dauko sembra a terra.

[Quivery Sanctuary]

Alla sesta casa, Shiryu, Hyoga e Shun vengono sbattuti contro della colonne, a causa dell'esplosione. Seiya sta cercando di resistere:
"So this is Athena Exclamation! Is this the result of the collision of the Gold Saints's cosmos?"
Ma, alla fine, anche Seiya viene sbattuto contro una colonna, travolto dall'eccessiva potenza. I sei Gold Saints sono ancora in piedi ad effettuare il colpo proibito, gli uni cercando di sopraffare gli altri.
"If this doesn't stop... then the house of Virgo... No! The entire Sanctuary will be destroyed." riflette Seiya.
"This is pointless fighting, why can't you stop this?" commenta Shun.
"That is Athena Exclamation... the glory of two colliding Athena Exclamations. How can this be? They're using the ultimate attack forbidden by Athena. You... why do you wish to destroy everything?" esclama Kanon preoccupato, osservando l'esplosione dalla tredicesima casa.
"Both Athena Exclamations are of equal power. Perfectly balanced against each other, all the destructive force is focused right there. But... If there were to be a minor imbalance... then all of Athena Exclamations destructive force will be unleashed." riflettono i 6 Gold Saints sotto sforzo.
Infatti, l'esplosione è circoscritta tra di loro, 3 contro 3.

Ma, ad un tratto, arrivano i Bronze Saints...
"What is this power...?" chiede Aioria.
"It's actually causing a disturbance..." commenta Shura.
"...In the balance of power." continua Milo.
I 4 Bronze Saints si sono disposti alle spalle di Mur, Milo e Aioria per aiutarli. Saga, Camus e Shura, in minoranza, vengono spinti lentamente indietro.
"Impossible. We're being pushed back bit by bit. Other than the six of us in the sanctuary, who else could have this kind of power? It's coming from behind Mu and the others's cosmos..." finalmente Saga sembra accorgersi della scorrettezza del nemico.
"Hyoga... Shiryu... Shun... Seiya." osservano Camus, Shura e Saga.
"Stop! All of you! Get out of here! Else Athena Exclamation's balance will be broken... Then you'll all be wiped out." ordinano tutti i Gold Saints.
"What...?" risponde Seiya seccato.
"You're not wearing Golden Armours, you cannot withstand this kind of power." spiega Mur.
Infatti, le armature di bronzo si stanno man mano crepando.
"Hurry!" intima Milo.
"Quick, get out of here!" esclama Aioria.
"What... if we were to leave now, then we wouldn't have come in the first place." risponde Shun stitico.
"Even if our bodies were to be smashed into a thousand pieces, we'd still... we'd still... keep our promise and fight to the end." spiega Seiya.
"... being pushed back even more now... If we don't stop this... then Seiya's combined powers will be the end of us..." pensa Camus in difficoltà.
"But... Seiya! You will leave this battle unscathed..." cerca di convincerlo Saga.
"Even knowing this, you still wan to die?" chiede Shura.
"Don't look down on us, ... we're Saints of Athena as well, you know!" interviene Shiryu.
"We've been ready to lay down our lives from the very start!" continua Hyoga.
"Shun, Shiryu, Hyoga... let's go!" ordina Seiya.

I 4 Bronze Saints fanno irruzione in mezzo al cerchio, proprio dentro il concentrato di energia controllato dalle due fazioni.
"What... You... what are you doing?" chiedono Aioria, Milo e Mur.
"We're going to stop Athena Exclamation." risponde Shun.
"What..." sono tutti sconvolti.
"My master Camus..." chiama Hyoga.
"Ah?! Hyoga." si accorge Camus.
"I can feel the good deep down inside your heart... There's no mistake. I kow my master Camus, ... will never fight for evil. And to become Hades' dogs..." confida Hyoga. Camus è commosso.
"You too, Shura, ... in my right hand, ... you imbued your heart and soul into it along with Excalibur. I can see right through your soul, that's why, we can understand your pain." dichiara Shiryu.
"And I'm sure depp inside you haven't changed at all." prosegue Shun.
"Milo, Mu, Aioria... why... Why... do Gold Saints like you who can clearly see past all this still fight againts each other? I believe, ... no... not just by there mere words. We... we... Are we not Athena's Saints?! Us Saints of Athena, do we not fight for love and justice on thi Earth?!" piange Seiya.
Gli ex Gold Saints si mettono tutti a piangere...

"That's right. As long as that feeling still burns within your hearts..." Shun espande il cosmo e la sua armatura diventa dorata.
"... There is nothing short of a miracle that we can't accomplish." idem Shiryu.
"No matter what, we'll stop Athena Exclamation!" idem Hyoga.
"Our cosmos have reached the climax!" idem Seiya.
"Nebula Chain!"
"Diamond Dust!"
"Rozan Shoryu Ha!"
"Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken!"
"Athena Exclamation's destructive force... its' flying towards the sky!" osservano Saga e Mur.
C'è una tremenda esplosione e i Bronze Saints vengono spazzati via.
"Seiya!" esclamano Mur, Milo e Aioria.
La sesta casa crolla. L'enorme concentrato di energia, dirottato dai Bronze Saints, vola in alto nello spazio, per esplodere in lontananza. Il Santuario è salvo.

"Athena Exclamation destructive force is heading for the skies..." osserva Kanon.
"Kanon? Kanon?! Kanon, where are you?" lo chiama Saori.
"Yes, Kanon is here." si inginocchia "That great build up of force at the house of Virgo seems to have disappeared just then, ... so you shouldn't worry anymore."
"Kanon, there's something I need you to get for me."
"Umm?"
"It's hidden under the throne in the pope's palace. Can you please bring it to me?"
"Hidden under the throne in the pope's palace?"
"That's right, Saga left it there 13 years ago, now it's time to give it back to him."
"13 years ago, Saga... could that be... That's..." finalmente Kanon sembra aver capito.

Intanto, Mur, Aioria e Milo si rialzano dalle macerie. Sembra che sia tutto tranquillo.
"You two, are you all ok?" chiede Mur.
"We're alright..." risponde Aioria.
"Seiya and the others?"
"Haven't seem them."
"Could they have been wiped out by the explosion from this house of Virgo?"
"Seiya, Hyoga, Shiryu, Shun... you can't die... This battle... has just started..." prega Mur, tenendo in mano in brandello di vestito di Seiya.
Ad un tratto, dalle macerie, sbuca una mano. E' Saga, alquanto malridotto.
"Saga." commenta Aioria.
"You're a lucky one, aren't you? Ready to die again?" ringhia Milo, mostrando l'artiglio. "Seiya and the others lost thier lives for this. Now I will finish this once for all. Die!"
Milo sta per scagliare il colpo, quando interviene il cosmo di Saori.
"No, wait..."
"That voice..." Milo si ferma.
"Athena!" sono tutti stupiti.
"Milo, Mu, Aioria, don't hurt Saga and the others and bring them to my palace." ordina Saori a distanza.
"Can't do that... Saga and the others will take your life..." protesta Milo.
"Don't worry about it, I have something I need to say to Saga in person. There's no time... Brin them here immediately."
"Athena."
Sono ancora accesi tre fuochi.

Dopo un po', Mur, Milo e Aioria giungono al cospetto di Athena, trasportando in braccio i loro nemici, ormai moribondi. Una volta arrivati, li buttano a terra.
"Athena, just as you wanted. Saga and the others are here." comunica Mur.
"They're not much different from the dead now, they can't even talk." commenta Aioria.
"Athena." in qualche modo, Saga riesce ancora a vedere.
"Kanon, give it to Saga." ordina Saori.
"Yes! Take it, Saga." Kanon gli porge uno scrigno.
Considerando il fatto che i due fratelli non si vedono da 13 anni, entrambi sono decisamente apatici.
"Kanon... This..."
Non appena apre lo scrigno, Saga è sconvolto: si tratta del pugnale che aveva usato per uccidere Athena 13 anni fa. C'è un breve flash back in cui Arles tenta di pugnalare Athena in fasce.
"Yes, Saga, this is the golden dagger... that you tried to kill me with 13 years ago..." conferma Saori.
"Athena... There's no point talking to those who have died long ago." inteviene Milo.
"Milo, Aioria... Enough... Mu should understand as well by now." spiega Athena.

Athena ha deciso di farsi ammazzare. Ora inizia la sequenza mielosa in cui Saga uccide Saori col pugnale. Tutti sono sconvolti e ci sono piagnistei vari. Come sottofondo, c'è la canzone Chikyuu Ki.
"Why... this..." Saga afferra il pugnale, ma è incerto.
"So you can of course... Kill me with it, Saga. Don't hesitate, come on! Pierce my throat with it! This way, you'll soon be relieved of the pain and agony. No longer will you have to put up with it!" Saori gli va incontro tranquilla, stringendogli le mani.
Shura e Camus stanno iniziando a piangere.
"Athena... you..." Saga è commosso e non riesce più a trattenere le lacrime.
"Saga..."
"What?!"
Mentre Saga guardava altrove, Saori ne per stringere la lama a mani nude. Ora il pugnale è intriso di sangue. Saori si mette a piangere. La lama è puntata alla sua gola.
"Noo... You can't... Stop!!! Miss Saori!!" strilla Seiya, mentre si sta incamminando con gli altri Bronzi. Purtoppo è ancora vivo.
Saori viene trafitta, ma non si vede direttamente la scena. Seiya urla dal dolore.
Dappertutto, stanno volando un sacco di petali.
Si vedono Shaina e gli altri Bronzi minori alla prima casa.. Il fiore di Aldebaran... Dauko e Shion che corrono... Il pugnale che cade... Saga che tenta di afferrare Saori morente per i capelli... Milo piangente che strangola Camus... Mur piangente che guarda la statua di Athena... Ikki che getta via una manciata di sabbia...
"Miss Saori..." continua a frignare Seiya lungo il percorso.

Dopo aver spiato tutto, la farfalla di Mi vola fino al castello di Pandora.
Rhadamantis è seduto in un salotto e sta bevendo un bicchiere di Brandy. Davanti a lui c'è un quadro con Pandora da bambina e la sua famiglia. Stranamente, sono tutti sorridenti.
"Lady Pandora.."
"Rhadamantis." Zeros entra nella stanza.
"Zeros..."
"Sorry to have to disturb you while you're resting. Indeed! Lord Rhadamantis's followers... are at your command." ridacchia Zelos.
"Be gone! If you've come to tell me of Athena's death, ... there's no nedd. I already know."
"Ah Lord Rhadamantis, so calculating! But don't you think it's suspicious in this affair, Lord? No, no... Or are you worried about anything else, Lord? Athena seems to have taken her own life in front of Saga." spiega Zelos ridendo.

"Yes..."

Rhadamantis subisce quindi la sua punizione corporale: mentre Pandora suona l'arpa, Rhadamantis è circondato da un campo di energia. Dal dolore, emette dei versi. Vengono inquadrati gli affreschi angelici sul soffitto. Pandora versa una lacrima, addolorata per gli Spectre morti in battaglia. Zelos ride di gusto.
Una volta finito di suonare, Pandora parla con tono apatico:
"What I say comes straight from Lord Hades. And yet you went ahead and disobeyed me, one of the 3 judges of the underworld, Rhadamantis of the Devil Star. This is unforgivable."
"But... we cannot understimate Athena. For Athena to take her own life there must be some hidden motives... I think... Lady Pandora, please hear me out!" replica Rhadamantis con un fil di voce, ancora a terra.
"Be quiet! You think Lord Hades didn't see through this trick of hers? For the loss of all our spectres, Rhadamantis, for such a simple task, you've made such a big mess. But first thing first, think about wiping out Athena's Saints... along with other important tasks from Lord Hades that is... You're forgiven this time, ... don't ever let this happen again. Understand? Rhadamantis..."
Finita la ramanzina, Pandora apre gli occhi. Rhadamantis la guarda incazzato con un occhio rosso.

Intanto, Seiya e gli altri hanno raggiunto la statua di Athena, ma ormai è troppo tardi. Non c'è più nessuno. Rimane soltanto il pugnale in una pozzanghera di sangue.
"What are we good for?! The Saints of Athena who were meant to protect her... I... I... Just before Miss Saori passed away, we couldn't do a thing! We couldn't..." piange Seiya accasciato a terra.
"Seiya..." cerca di consolarlo Shun.
"If only we had a bit more more time and strenght left..." commenta Shiryu.
"Enough, there's no point now..." prosegue Hyoga.
"We... we... are we really that useless?! Such useless Saints... This... this... this..." piange Seiya, scagliando lontano il pugnale...
... Che finisce ai piedi di Shion, appena arrivato.
"Hmm! Why are you weeping?"
"Who are you?" chiede Seiya incazzato.
"Athena's dead, but the real battle is still ahead of us..." spiega Shion con fare solenne.
"That voice... Shion!" riflette Shiryu cieco.
I 4 Bronze Saints si dispongono attorno al nemico che, incurante, continua a camminare.
"The old pope who has joined Hades?!" commenta Seiya.
"Old master... What happened to the old master, Shion?" chiede Shiryu.
"Huh! You useless saints, get out of my way." ordina Shion.
"What did you say?!" esclama Seiya.
"All you do is stand around and cry, who would've thought Athena's Saints were this pathetic!"
"Shut up! Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken!"
Seiya attacca Shion all'improvviso e riesce a colpirlo in pieno volto, in quanto Shion non ha fatto nulla per difendersi. Tuttavia, Shion resta in piedi illeso in quanto il fulmine è stato uno schifo.
"What?" esplama Hyoga.
"All that pain and anguish, is that it?? Pretty pathetic." commenta Shion, scagliando Seiya lontano.
"Seiya!" lo afferra Shun, prima che cada "Being the saint that you are, what have you to say for yourself, you traitor?"
"For Athena! Let's go!" esclamano Hyoga e Shiryu.
"Shit! Unforgivable!" esclama Seiya.
I 4 si scagliano contemporaneamente contro Shion, ma vengono spazzati via.
"You fools, what are you doing?!"
Una volta che sono tutti caduti a terra, Shion comincia a parlare:
"All of you, listen up! Straight from the pope, Shion of Aries' death... I have something... to tell you... From I, this Holy Father... Aries Shion's mouth..."
La statua di Athena versa una lascrima.
